The high school band currently consists of students grades 7-12 who have completed one year of beginning band. The band has a rich tradition of success, including being selected as the 2A State Honor Band for the 1993-94 school year. In recent years the band has consistently earned ratings of "Superior" and "Excellent" at both group and individual events, with students advancing to Area and State levels of competition as well as graduating seniors receiving college scholarships for their musical abilities.

Each year, the high school band performs at all high school football games where they play an integral part in not only the halftime festivities, but also in boosting and encouraging spirit in the stands through the pep music, drum cadences, fight songs, and the energy level that a large group working together can provide. In addition to the football games, the band presents annual Christmas and Spring concerts, performs at local parades, as well as performs at the annual Veterans Day program put on by the students of the Warren Junior High and High Schools.
In recent years the band has seen live performances of Blast!, Riverdance, and the U.S. Air Force Band and Singing Sergeants. The high school band also tries to take a major out-of-state trip every few years. In 2004, the band traveled to Orlando, Florida where they participated in the "Disney Magic Music Days" as well as enjoyed time in Disney and Universal Studios theme parks. Other past trips have included trips to Hawaii, cruises, and other fun and exciting trips. |
