No one needs to purchase an instrument until they have met with a director and it has been decided what instrument they will be playing.  In the fall, once school has started, we will have an instrument rental meeting at which time you can rent, rent-to-own, or out right purchase a good QUALITY instrument for your child.  We do this through Swicegood Music Company from Beaumont, Texas.  Representatives from Swicegood will come to our campus on the night specified and meet with you at that time to take care of the paperwork and put an instrument into your child's hands. You are not required to use Swicegood Music for instrument purchases, we simply set this up as a convenience to you.

If you are considering purchasing an instrument either new or used, please contact one of the directors before making any purchases and let us know what you are considering so that we can help make sure your child begins their musical instruction with a quality instrument that will give them their best chance of success.  There are many good quality used instruments around, but there are also many that are of lesser quality or have seen better days, and we would like to help you in finding a quality instrument for your child.

The school does have a few school owned instruments that we can supply. Typically these are limited to the larger and/or more expensive instruments such as French Horn, Oboe, Bassoon, Baritone and Tuba.  You may still be required to purchase a mouthpiece and supplies for these instruments.
