Fred Elementary named "Distinguished Performance School" by the Texas Education Agency for the 2012-2013 school year.
There were only a total of 211 Distinguished Performance Schools in the state of Texas.
Fred Elementary is one of only nine schools named "Distinguished Performance School" in region V.
Qualifications to receive the award: *Met Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) in 2011 and 2012 *Exemplary - 2011 *Exemplary - 2010 *Exemplary - 2009
