District FFA Contest

Warren, Texas – Warren FFA continues to demonstrate excellence in leadership and agricultural education, earning the title of District Sweepstakes Champions for the second consecutive year.

On November 10, 2025, Warren FFA traveled to Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches to compete in the McGee Bend District Leadership Development Events (LDEs). After a full day of contests showcasing communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, the chapter once again emerged as the most successful in the district, capturing back-to-back championships; a rare and significant accomplishment in the world of FFA.

Unlike most academic or athletic contests, FFA competitions are not divided by school size or classification, meaning that Warren’s small-town chapter competes directly against schools from 1A to 6A. Earning consecutive district titles against such a diverse field highlights the dedication, preparation, and talent of Warren FFA students and their advisors.

This year, 50 Warren FFA students competed across 14 teams, with nine teams advancing to the Area IX contest, often referred to as the “playoffs” of FFA competition. Advancing to the area level places these teams among the top 120 in Texas, out of nearly 1,200 FFA chapters statewide.
