Forestry FFA

The Warren FFA Forestry Team wrapped up an outstanding Career Development Event (CDE) season by competing at the state contest in Nacogdoches and earning impressive finishes against some of the top programs in Texas.

Warren FFA Team #1 placed 6th in the state and consisted of Harley Kelley, Zeb Harrod, Wyatt Fowler, and Landon Bell. Team #2 earned a 9th place state finish and included Sophie Smith, Peter Redecop, and Cole West.

Unlike UIL competitions, FFA contests are not divided by school size or classification, meaning Warren students competed directly against — and outperformed — many much larger schools across Texas.

Career Development Events are designed to allow students to demonstrate real-world skills learned through agricultural education courses. These contests align with Texas TEKS and curriculum standards while highlighting the three-circle model of agricultural education: classroom instruction, FFA participation, and supervised agricultural experiences.

The Forestry Team’s successful season reflects months of hard work, preparation, and dedication. Warren ISD is proud of these students for their accomplishments and for representing Warren FFA with excellence throughout the competition season.
