Warren FFA wrapped up a highly successful weekend at the Tyler County Fair, bringing home more than $110,000 in sales and scholarships along with eight Grand Champion titles. The chapter’s outstanding performance reflected the hard work and dedication of its members across multiple divisions, from livestock to home economics.
A total of 22 Warren exhibitors earned spots in the livestock auction, with several more qualifying for the Home Economics auction. Among them, Keylea Dean was named High Point Senior in the Home Economics program. Dean also made her mark in the cattle division, showing the Reserve Champion Beefmaster Heifer. Peter Redecop took home the Reserve Champion Steer title and received the R.A. Jernigan Award for leadership excellence over multiple fairs.
In the Broiler Show, Peyton Spivey and Bethany Lee claimed Grand and Reserve Champion honors, respectively, leading a strong group of five Warren exhibitors to the sale, including Eden Swinney, Aliana Swinney, and Ellie Horton. Kaylenn Knighten earned Senior Showmanship, while Ellie Horton captured Junior Showmanship.
The Goat Show saw Melody and Lyric Read each secure sale spots, while the Lamb Show featured four sale lambs—shown by siblings JD, Eden, and Aliana Swinney, along with Atley Heckman.
Warren’s success continued in the Swine Show, where Lakeyn West took home the Grand Champion Buckle. Ayx West and Eden Swinney also made the sale with impressive showings.
Friday’s Rabbit Show brought more accolades as Wyatt Fowler earned the Grand Champion Buckle, leading a strong team of Warren exhibitors who made the sale: Peyton Spivey, Wyatt Buys, Aryana Clark, Aubrey Esway, Jackson Jones, and Isabella Glover. The show concluded with Aubrey Esway and Belle Brandin exhibiting the Grand and Reserve Market Rabbit Fryers.
Scholarship and special award recognition rounded out the week. Peter Redecop earned a $2,500 Tyler County Fair Scholarship, while Sophie Smith received the Lamar Conner Buckle and Award for exceptional hard work and leadership. Easton Evans was honored as a Legacy Showman, marking participation in the fair every year since third grade.
All told, Warren FFA had an incredible showing at this year’s Tyler County Fair. The chapter expressed gratitude to the many parents, supporters, and community members who made this success possible.
“We couldn’t be more proud of our members,” the Warren FFA advisors shared. “Their dedication, teamwork, and leadership continue to represent our community with excellence.”
