Originally scheduled as a school day, this date has now been designated as a District Holiday. 🎉
In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week 2026, we want to recognize the incredible dedication of our educators and staff, while also giving our students a well-deserved break after their hard work. With STAAR testing complete, this day serves as a “job well done” reward for everyone! 👏
✅ No school for students
✅ District holiday for staff
Thank you to our amazing teachers, staff, and students for your commitment and effort throughout the year - we are proud of you!

Warren ISD is excited to share the approved 2026–2027 District Instructional Calendar! 🎉 Be sure to check it out and start planning for the upcoming school year.
What’s New For Next Year?
You’ll notice something new on the calendar - two designated Parent Conference Days built into the schedule. These are essentially staff work days and student holidays. These days are included in the calendar in response to recent Texas legislation, specifically Texas Senate Bill 12 (89th Legislative Session). As part of this law, school districts are now required to provide at least two in-person parent-teacher conference days each year to ensure families have meaningful opportunities to engage in their child’s academic progress.
📅 Take a moment to review the full calendar and mark your important dates! We’re looking forward to another great year at Warren ISD!

The momentum doesn’t stop there! The Texas Girls Coaches Association State Softball Poll announced on February 23 that Warren Softball is ranked #8 in Class 3A!
When asked about the softball program's success so far, Girls Athletic Director and Head Softball Coach Fife shared, “They’re working hard and I’m very proud. All girls are taking the necessary steps to move forward each day.”
It’s clear that these girls are focused, disciplined, and committed to growth every single day. We are so proud of the leadership, determination, and heart these Lady Warriors continue to show on and off the field!
Keep it rolling, Lady Warriors!

Warren ISD Announces Boys Athletic Director & Head Football Coach 🏈
We are proud to announce Coach Kenneth Riedinger as the new WISD Boys Athletic Director and Head Football Coach! A lifelong coach and proud Warrior parent, Coach Riedinger brings passion, faith, and a relentless underdog mindset to Warren ISD. As he says, “God made me a coach - and it’s time people fear the spear.” He’s ready to lead our student-athletes with heart, discipline, and results. Coach Riedinger is a 1995 graduate of Silsbee High School, where he competed in football, basketball, baseball, and track. He attended Kilgore Junior College and earned his B.S. from Northwest Missouri State University in Physical Education with a minor in Health, and is Special Education certified. His connection to Warren runs deep. His grandfather graduated from Warren in 1945, his son will soon be a Warren graduate, and his younger children are current Warriors. His wife, Megan, proudly serves WISD as the Educational Diagnostician, is a former Fred Elementary Teacher of the Year, and was last year’s Special Programs Tribe Tribute honoree.
The future is strong. The future is Warrior. 🏹
