One parent shared that Carrie is always there for their student, whether they need help with schoolwork, preparing for college, navigating the challenges of being a teenage girl, or managing the pressures of athletics. They described her as a safe place for their student to turn to and expressed how thankful they are to have someone like her in our district.
Her students feel that same impact. One student shared, “Miss Carrie makes me feel seen,” while another described her as one of the nicest and most positive teachers they have ever had, sharing that she can make them smile even on a bad day. Carrie's impact extends far beyond the library. Whether she is serving as our librarian, leading yearbook, teaching English, or capturing special moments that students and families can treasure for years to come, she brings enthusiasm and heart to everything she does.

Coach Adan was nominated by students and members of our Warren ISD community who have seen the positive impact he is making at Warren High School through his leadership, dedication, and commitment to our athletes. He also holds a special place in our program as the FIRST person nominated for our Warrior Difference Maker recognition!
One nomination shared that Coach Adan began raising the standard for Warren athletics from the moment he arrived. Through high expectations, discipline, and a positive attitude, he challenges our athletes to work harder, take responsibility, and strive to reach their full potential.
His students recognize that impact, too! One student shared that Coach Adan “whooped us into shape” after arriving during their freshman year and has made a tremendous impact on athletics ever since. Another student shared that he makes working out fun, expects students to work hard, and never makes them feel bad about themselves. As one student put it, he no longer lets them get away with slacking - but he's “still cool though!”

A FEW HIGHLIGHTS FROM AN OUTSTANDING FAIR:
⭐ Helen Redecop, Warren FFA Vice President and senior, made the sale with her 3rd-place swine bringing $8,499 and her 7th-place lamb bringing $6,500! She also earned a $2,500 Tyler County Fair Scholarship!
🐔 A BROILER SWEEP! JD and Eden Swinney took home Grand and Reserve Market Broiler honors!
🐰 RABBIT SHOW CHAMPIONS! Addison Clark and Parker McCoy earned Grand and Reserve Meat Pen Rabbit honors, while Kyleigh Wiggins and Christalynn Foxworth claimed Grand and Reserve Fryer Rabbit honors!
🏅 WARREN OWNED THE SALE! Of the 73 total sale spots across the county, Warren FFA secured 30 - MORE THAN 40% of the entire sale! That included 3 pigs, 4 goats, 5 lambs, 7 sets of broilers, and 11 pens of rabbits!
🐇 NINE OF THE TOP 10 RABBIT PENS in the show came from Warren FFA! Talk about an incredible accomplishment!
🌟 Charlotte Spivey was also recognized as Rookie of the Year, honoring her exceptional involvement in the county fair as a first-year showman!
These achievements represent countless hours of hard work, dedication, early mornings, late nights, and commitment from our students, families, and agricultural science teachers/FFA advisors. We are incredibly proud of every Warren FFA exhibitor and grateful to the buyers and community members who continue to support our students!

Kelcie was nominated by students and members of our Warren ISD community who shared how much of an impact she is already making for our students and athletes.
One student shared that Kelcie makes sure everyone is okay, makes students feel welcome and loved, and genuinely treats them like her own. Another student shared that she is incredibly kind and always makes sure she doesn’t miss a step when caring for and treating her athletes.
Kelcie’s work as both an educator and athletic trainer goes far beyond the school day. One nomination recognized the countless hours she puts in before and after school to care for our athletes and help keep them healthy, safe, and able to participate in the sports they love.
A parent also shared that, although Kelcie is a newer Warren Warrior, she has already jumped right in and done a great job addressing the needs of our athletes. Her willingness to step up, care for students, and make a difference has not gone unnoticed.

Will was nominated by students and parents who shared how much of an impact he has on his students and the positive difference he makes in their lives.
One student shared that Mr. Read gives respect to get respect. He makes students feel valued, and you can tell he cares. Another student shared that even on a bad day, his class can cheer you up.
Perhaps one of the most powerful nominations came from a parent who shared that Mr. Read is the reason their child wants to come to school. Their child had previously hated going to school, but after entering their first year of Ag, everything changed. Now, their child looks forward to coming to school, talks about Ag, and is excited about the opportunities available to them because of the teachings and conversations they have with Mr. Read.
That kind of impact goes far beyond the classroom.

The incident involved a substitute employee who made comments of a threatening nature to students that were not consistent with the standards we expect of anyone entrusted with the care and supervision of Warren ISD students. The substitute was removed from the District while the matter was reviewed, and the District has taken the concerns seriously from the beginning. Parents and guardians of the students directly affected were contacted and informed. The investigation has concluded and the appropriate charges were filed. Safety is our number one priority and we will always do what is necessary to protect all involved.
Thank you to our families and community for caring deeply about our students and for allowing us to address this matter responsibly and respectfully.
And another big shout-out to Fred Elementary! 🎉 On Friday, PK, 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade all had 100% attendance, helping Fred Elementary reach an incredible 99% attendance average for the day!

Warren ISD Statement Regarding Ongoing Investigation
Warren Independent School District is aware of an incident involving an employee and students in which statements were reportedly made that raised concerns regarding student safety at the Warren Elementary campus. The staff member in question has been removed from the District pending the outcome of the investigation.
Warren ISD takes any allegation involving the safety, security, and well-being of students extremely seriously. The matter has been referred for investigation, and the investigation is currently ongoing.
At this time, the District will not release additional details regarding the allegations, the individuals involved, or the investigative process in order to protect student privacy and to preserve the integrity of the investigation.
The District is working cooperatively with the appropriate authorities and will take appropriate action based on the findings of the investigation due to applicable law and District policy.
The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain Warren ISD's highest priorities. We appreciate the cooperation of our students, parents, guardians, staff, and community as this matter is reviewed.
Because this is an ongoing investigation, no conclusions regarding the allegations should be drawn until the investigative process has been completed.
Warren Independent School District
Tara was nominated by members of our Warren ISD community who shared how much of a difference she makes for students and their families.
One parent shared that Tara always takes the time to answer questions, makes them feel heard and supported, and keeps the focus on helping their child become more independent and successful long-term. That balance of providing support while encouraging students to grow and advocate for themselves is something Tara does exceptionally well.
Another parent shared that after coming from another district where their child was struggling to receive the support they needed, Tara immediately stepped in to help, thoroughly explained the process, and made the family feel supported from the very beginning. Since the appropriate accommodations were put in place, they have watched their child thrive.

And according to one of his fellow Warriors, Darius “always looks for ways to make people laugh.”

Due to a break in the main water line in town, Warren ISD will operate on a delayed start schedule tomorrow, Thursday, September 24. Classes will begin at 10:00 AM.
Please plan for the following:
- Morning bus routes will run later than usual to match the 10:00 AM start.
- Students should not arrive on campus before the adjusted drop-off time, as staff supervision will not be available earlier.
- Dismissal will take place at the regular time.

Breanna was nominated by multiple members of our Warrior family, and the message was clear: she is truly here for her students.
Nominators described Breanna as someone who brings grit, commitment, patience, compassion, and love to everything she does. She consistently puts students first and works to help them see what they are capable of accomplishing.
One nominator shared that, during their first year working with Breanna, they noticed that “she is TRULY here for the students.” No matter what challenges come her way, Breanna continues to push forward, overcome obstacles, and come out stronger on the other side.
Another nomination shared how special it has been to watch Breanna grow from an amazing paraprofessional into an incredible teacher. She set a goal for herself to become a teacher, and from her very first year in the classroom, she made an impact that is often seen only in teachers with many years of experience.
Breanna's years as a paraprofessional helped shape the teacher she is today. That experience gave her an incredible ability to connect with students, meet them where they are, show patience and compassion, and truly understand their needs. She took everything she learned as a paraprofessional and brought it into her own classroom - and it is clear how much she genuinely loves what she does and the students she serves.
