SO PROUD of each of the members of the FFA Ag Issues team! Their presentation to Superintendent Minyard this morning was thought provoking, heartfelt, and very relevant. Wishing them the best as they travel to Onalaska on Friday to compete.

Introducing a dynamic behavior initiative at Warren Elementary aimed at fostering positive conduct among students! With the Tribe Dollar program, students have the opportunity to earn and spend Tribe dollars at their designated Tribe Time every week. Encouraging good behavior is key as students accumulate Tribe dollars for positive choices while facing the responsibility of potential deductions for less favorable decisions. This initiative not only motivates students to excel but also instills a sense of accountability within the school community. Tribe Dollars: Shaping a culture of positivity, responsibility, and rewards!

Update as of 1:40pm from the Tyler County Sheriff's Office: Tyler County shelter in placed order has been "lifted" for the Chester, Colmesneil, and Rockland areas. Shelter in place is now cancelled for the previously affected region. - - - Warren ISD is following the proper emergency management systems for updates pertaining to the chemical fire in San Jacinto County resulting from a refinery plant explosion in Shepherd. As it currently stands, we have NOT been issued any shelter-in-place. The Tyler County Emergency Management Office's current advice is for residents in the Chester, Colmesneil, and Rockland area, along with the northwest portion of Tyler County, to shelter in place. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and make notifications should we receive any updates. This month's Tribe Tribute award goes to bus driver and custodian Sally Tatum, whose dedication to keeping our kids safe has made a difference in our community! Last month, a vehicle passed our buses on the shoulder of the road at high speeds as some of our children were exiting. Thanks to Sally's quick acting in preventing them from exiting the bus while the vehicle passed, the children remained safe. It is this level of alertness and dedication that Sally brings with her every day that keeps our kids safe! Thank you for all that you do, Sally! #busdriverssavelives

Happy Thursday WHS Family! This is Keith Collins, principal at Warren High School. I hope you're doing well. I wanted to remind you that our snapshot attendance day is scheduled for tomorrow. Attendance is crucial for your student's education as it ensures they don't miss out on valuable lessons and opportunities. It also helps us monitor their progress and provide the best support possible. In Texas, as in many other states in the United States, student attendance is crucial for funding because it directly impacts the allocation of financial resources to public schools. The snapshot attendance tomorrow is vital to this process. Please make sure your child is present tomorrow if at all possible. Thank you for your cooperation, and have a great day!

Today Warren ISD had the pleasure of hosting the Tri-County Superintendent's Meeting. For the event, some of our very own Warriors within the culinary program served a meal and provided top notch service. We love opportunities for our Warrior students to shine through while utilizing skills they have learned!
