WHS Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) was represented well at the Regional Leadership Conference this past weekend! The FCCLA Region 4 Leadership Conference was an opportunity for leadership growth and competition. Students competed in Promote & Publicize FCCLA and Early Childhood Education. WHS has not had an active FCCLA student club in over a decade, so this began the journey of a building year, with lots of knowledge gained!

A transformer south of Warren has caused power outages among the area. The traffic has been rerouted from 69 past the school. Dismissal will require added patience, with our goal of safety being top priority. Also to note, due to the outage, all school phones and internet are down. Restoration is predicted for 4PM.

WISD would like to express our gratitude for the community’s patience and understanding during the recent school closures due to weather conditions. We understand that the change of plans presented challenges; especially for families who had to adjust their schedules and make alternative arrangements. Words cannot express how blessed WISD feels to have the staff, students, families, and community members that we have. We are so fortunate to be in a compassionate and caring community that provides support to allow WISD to prioritize the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and families. We would be remiss if we didn’t say thank you to everyone who has a role in creating an environment where students are safe, able to learn, and are well taken care of. Thank you for everything y’all do!
WISD will have normal hours starting tomorrow. We are aware there is a boil water notice and will abide by the proper guidance; water fountains will not be used. We appreciate everyones patience concerning the last few days as we have made decisions that are in the best interests of our students and staff. Thank you Warriors and stay warm!
