🌟 Exciting News! 🌟 WISD is thrilled to announce that Keppi Fortenberry has been appointed as the new Principal of Fred Elementary! 🎉 Mrs. Fortenberry's experience at Warren Independent School District has been nothing short of remarkable. She has taught math and science at the elementary level, served as an instructional coach for both elementary campuses, drives a school bus, and has played key roles as a UIL Coordinator and GT Coordinator, demonstrating her dedication to student success in and out of the classroom. Her unwavering passion for education, deep-rooted commitment to our students, and wealth of experience make her the perfect leader for Fred Elementary. We are confident that, under her guidance and alongside the incredible staff and students at FES, our school will continue to thrive as a nurturing environment where every child can succeed. Being a school board member is more than just attending meetings—it’s about making tough decisions that impact the future of our district. Our board members volunteer their time to ensure that Warren ISD provides the best possible education for every student. They approve budgets, set policies, plan for district growth, advocate for resources, and work to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment—all while keeping the success of our students at the heart of every decision. WISD Announcement: School is Back in Session Thursday! Good news, Warriors! We are pleased to announce that WISD will conduct school tomorrow, Thursday, January 23, 2025, with normal hours. All campuses and facilities will be open, and classes will proceed as normally scheduled. Thank you for your attention, and we look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

This decision was made with the safety of our students and personnel as our top priority.
